Troubleshooting

I forgot my password. What do I do?
If you have an account at WeatherForensics but cannot remember your password, click here and our system will assign a temporary password by sending an email to the email address associated with the account. Once you receive the temporary password, login to your account and navigate to "User Settings" in the "My Account" area and reset your password.

Why can't I view my reports?
If you purchased a report under an account and cannot see it in your "Order History", then the report is either too old (ordered more than 365 days ago) or too new and has not been fulfilled yet.  If the product purchased is an ‘instant purchaseâ€$ such as a LightningTrax report or HailExpress (older than 1 business day) and it does not appear on your list of past reports, contact us at 888.255.7099.

When I enter my username & password, I only see a blank page. What's wrong?
If you have logged into your account and see a blank page, try deleting your temporary internet files. Troubleshooting instructions for Internet Explorer, Netscape and FireFox are available.

Can I view my reports on my iPhone or other Internet enabled phone?
With the exception of HailExpress, all WeatherForensics reports can be viewed on your iPhone or other Internet enabled phone.  HailExpress, because it is overlaid in the Google Earth Plugin, is reliant on the developers at Google to enable this functionality and it is not yet available.

My HailExpress hailswath data doesn’t look like the samples on your website. What’s wrong?
If your HailExpress hailswaths are not shaded a transparent red for the ¾â€$ up to 1 ¾â€$ areas and a transparent fuchsia (purple-pink color) for the 2â€$ and greater area, then your graphics card is not displaying the data correctly. There are 2 reasons this could occur A) you have a setting on your PC or MAC disabling access for the program to function properly – check that permissions are granted on your toolbar. Or B) your graphics card is not functioning properly for the Google Earth Plugin requirements.

The Google Earth Plugin requires the use of a graphics card or an integrated graphics processor (IGP) with 3d capabilities to run. These devices enable a computer to process and deliver graphics, animation, and videos.

Laptop PC computers: visit the laptop manufacturer's website (Dell, Toshiba, Sony, etc.) to get the most recent driver for your graphics card or IGP.

Desktop PC computers: visit the graphics card or motherboard (for IGPs) manufacturer's website to download the latest driver for your system. Note: we strongly advise against installing graphics card or motherboard chipset drivers in beta release. Listed below are a few common graphics card and IGP manufacturers along with links to download appropriate drivers:

Determine what graphics card you have:
If your drivers are more than six months old, we recommend downloading an updated driver from your graphics card or computer manufacturer's site. If you don't know what kind of graphics card is installed in your computer, you can use a program to determine your computer's hardware, operating system, and graphics card:

  1. Go to Start > Run.
  2. Type dxdiag in the box.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Yes to the prompt, and the program will begin running.
  5. Click the Display tab, and you'll find the name of your graphics card listed under the 'Device' section.
