Hail Analysis

HailAnalysis reports are intended for lengthy search periods of weeks, months, years or even decades where our radar based products (HailTrax™ and HailExpress™) may be too costly. HailAnalysis reports are an accumulation of human observations of hail within a 60 mile by 60 mile area centered on your address of interest and serve as a tool to determine dates when hail was occurring in the area to help narrow down the possible hail date(s). Hail Analysis reports can be produced for any time period from the 1950's forward.

HailAnalysis Reports are the accumulation of human observations of hail from the best available archive from the National Weather Service (NWS). While these data are available at no charge to the general public, WDT "value adds" to these data for convenient retrieval of the data and presentation in a report format that is easy to read and comprehend. Upon extracting the human observation data, a trained WDT meteorologist reviews, applies quality assurance and writes a summary of his/her findings of the hail event(s) in question. Application

HailAnalysis reports are intended to advise of human observations of hail over an extended period of time. Common applications include sites where hail damage is evident or questionable and the date of the occurrence is unknown. In some cases depending on when the hail occurred it may impact who is the liable party for the hail loss. HailAnalysis reports can help identify dates for which a HailTrax report should be ordered to confirm the presence or absence of hail on a particular date.
