Hurricane Wind Speed Verification Products
Weather Forensics has Hurricane Reports available for all US landfall hurricanes since 2000. We offer both a basic report consisting of wind maps and a written report or an extensive report consisting of all available wind and water height [tide data, etc.] timelines. Shapefile format data are also available for customers who choose to blend WDT weather data with other data in a GIS environment.
Hurricane Report - Basic
Map of Wind Speeds Associated with Landfalling Hurricanes
Weather Forensics' basic hurricane report contains a contoured map of the maximum wind speeds (in 10 mile per hour increments) across the hurricane impacted area. The map is provided in a .pdf format. As an option, the map of the maximum wind speeds can be printed as a 2' x 3' poster.
Hurricane Report - Extensive
Comprehensive Wind Speed Map and Wind Speed Data
Weather Forensics' Extensive Hurricane Report provides everything in our basic report plus a written summary of the event and tables of wind speed data from each surface weather station (as available). Wind reporting station sites will also be plotted on the map.
