LightningTrax reports are derived from the archives of the Earth Network Total Lightning Network (ENTLN™). The ENTLN is the most advanced technology lightning detection system in the world. The network has over 300 sensors in the continental US, almost three times as many sensors as our nearest competitor. Independent third party testing at the University of Oklahoma confirms that while all lightning networks vary in performance for any given event, over a broad sample of case studies, in different geographies and over a large time period, the ENTLN shows the greatest detection efficiency and stroke location accuracy. LightningTrax Application

LightningTrax reports confirm the presence or absence of (cloud-to-ground) lightning strikes at a particular address (or intersection) within the within the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Claims adjusters, forensic engineers, fire investigation (cause & origin) experts, self-insured property owners and attorneys are the most common customer of LightningTrax reports. The largest application is claim verification by the property/casualty insurance industry.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of insurance claims are submitted by residential and commercial property owners, yet only 1 in 3 lightning claims has lightning present on the date of loss. Independent verification of lightning strikes can assist in the validation and expedient handling of these claims.
