HailTrax™ Reports
HailTrax™ Reports are rapidly becoming the industry standard for hail verification. Introduced into the marketplace in 2001, HailTrax™ Reports have taken hail verification to a new level by providing confirmation of the absence or presence of hail fall (greater than ¾”), using the National Weather Service’s network of NEXRAD radars and combining this technology with a sophisticated hail algorithm for hail validation along with human observation at the ground (if available, but not necessary). See details of the technology of HailTrax™ reports.
The meteorological ingredients that make up a HailTrax™ report start with NEXRAD radar data, which is then processed and filtered through a proprietary WDT algorithm. In addition, any available NWS accumulated human observations of hail are added to the report, allowing for all available hail data to be provided in a single report format. A trained WDT meteorologist then reviews the data, applies quality assurance and writes a summary of his/her findings of the hail event(s) in question. See a sample HailTrax™ report.
HailTrax™ Reports can be ordered online and are delivered in .pdf format, via email, within 3 business days.
Application
HailTrax™ Reports confirm the absence or presence (greater than ¾”) of hail for any address specific location, intersection or metropolitan area and are commonly used by claims adjusters, attorneys, roofers, paintless dent removal technicians and others who need to validate hail activity.
